Inspiring a Love for Learning

“Let all that you do be done with love.” 1 Corinthians 16:14

Enabling children to flourish and succeed

School Teams

HOUSE TEAMS AT CROXTON KERRIAL.

Our school runs a House system; the five houses are named after the colours of the 5 Olympic Rings. The Olympic Rings are five interlocking rings that stand for the five original continents, (Africa, America, Asia, Australia, and Europe) and the athletes from around the world.

The colours of the rings are blue, yellow, black, green, and red respectively. They were chosen because at least one of these colours is found on the flag of every nation.

On entry to Reception, each child is assigned a house (the same as an older sibling if applicable) and remains a member of this house throughout their years at Croxton Kerrial.

House points are awarded in class for effort, attitude and achievement and for events run at various points during the year, e.g. Sports Day, Leadership Days etc. The house system fosters good relationships between children in different year groups and encourages a sense of working together, competitive spirit, learning to accept defeat graciously alongside celebrating success.
